Longfin Guppies

I posted some of these Giessen / longfin / ribbon guppies back in December. This is how two of those fish look grown up. They actually put on some decent size over the last couple of months. These fish are infertile so if you’re trying to maintain the longfin trait, you have to make sibling crosses. These popped up because a lot of the patterned fish I raise were originally imported from Thailand. Many of the Thai cobra / snakeskin / Medusa / galaxy type lines carry this trait. It may not appear in the first generation (F1), but if it’s there, it should appear in a small percentage of the second generation (F2).
